"Timing"

“When God’s people are in position they can take possession.”

Through the years I have always struggled with timing especially when it came to big life changes or transitions. I remember my emotions getting worked up, my faith at work, and the uncertainty of what the future will hold. These things can consume our thoughts and we can all handle them in different ways. We may try to avoid them, dive right in or just seek council without ever making the decision.

In my journey, whether it was the transitioning from one season of ministry to another, or changing jobs, or family planning, there came a moment in time when all the obscurity was removed and peace, excitement and confirmation was evident. There was that moment that at times didn’t line up with my time table when I knew it was the time for action.

Three Influential Actions Steps helped transform my life throughout the years and they still work today.

1. Seek God in Prayer: When your mind is consumed, and circumstances seem overwhelming, and you just don’t know what to do.
2. Search the Scriptures: What has the Lord been trying to tell you, meditate on the promises of God. Don’t limit this to only individual study but get connected to additional bible studies.
3. Submit to Gods prompting: It may not be the way you think it should be or look, but humbly, trusting God take the step, and receive the blessings of God.

You would think these are obvious, a “big DUH!”. Yet if we are honest with ourselves most of us are so consumed with “life” that we rarely put these steps into practice. Thus missing opportunities to possess things that God want us to.

“Remember He will never leave you or abandon you”

Remember, “Draw Near to God and He will draw near to you.”
